Year-round Walk -- Peachland

                   Peachland 1OK Year Round Event - YRE-W -- CVF107 We’ve laid out a scenic and interesting walk through the linear park, and along Peachland's beautiful Okanagan waterfront. A map and written directions for the walk are available at the start point at the Rocky Top Cafe on Beach Avenue corner of 1st Street in downtown Peachland..

A self-guided Heritage Walk is also available for those who would like to learn about the familiar landmarks of Peachland history. This 5K walk starts at the Information Centre in the Chamber of Commerce building on Beach Avenue and 3rd Street. Trail rating: 1A The directions and historic details can be picked up at the Information Centre but if you would like to view  them  in advance of this walk click on Peachland Heritage Walk and print out the instructions. 

The Heritage Walk is also described along with descriptions and map of Peachland's Trepanier Stave Pipe/Forest and Pinscushion Mountain walks in the Peachland Walks & Hikes booklet.  The coloured markers for these 3 trails are now in place.

       The Peachland route may undergo minor changes which will be reflected on the route-sheets provided to participants. Remember, members can get IVV credit once every six months for the year-round walks.

Summer Walks & Hikes: The summer walks and hikes are open to all (members and non-members). The evening walks (about an hour) will be every alternating Wednesday and the hikes (10K or more) will be held every other Sunday morning.  Walks will start at 7:00pm and the Hikes are expected to start at 8:30 or 9:00 am. They will end with a walk or drive to a local restaurant/cafe where walkers can get a tea/coffee/light snack. Beginning in June, the schedule can be found on the home page at: Summer Walks and Hikes.

Fall Walks: Sunday afternoon walks begin at 1 pm during the Fall. They last about an hour and are open to all (members and non-members). They will end with a walk or drive to a local restaurant/cafe where walkers can get a tea/coffee/light snack. In September, the schedule can be found on the home page at: Fall & Winter Walks.

Winter & Spring Walks: Sunday afternoon walks begin at 1 pm during the Winter and Spring. They last about an hour and are open to all (members and non-members). They will end with a walk or drive to a local restaurant/cafe where walkers can get a tea/coffee/light snack. In January the schedule can be found at: Winter & Spring Walks.
